Hello, 

My name is Mel short for Melissa. I'm an artist from Compton, California. I'm currently best known locally for my Compton art but I'm not confined to only art about Compton. I began to make art about Compton because I wanted to help beautify the city in some way by making art of its landmarks. The best and most attainable way to do this was by designing clothing so Compton locals could rep their city with pride.

In my art making I enjoy studying color, patterns, material, and different techniques to further develop my hand. 

I love watching documentaries, studying spirituality, hanging out with my cat and going to art show openings.
